WELCOME

Picture

Campaigners is an interdenominational Christian youth organisation providing a structured, fun packed and safe environment for children and young people between the ages of 4 and 18. Being founded in 1922 we have a vast amount of experience of teaching Christian values to the young people of today.

Our teaching methods may have changed .....
..... but
our message hasn't!

Whatever the era we live in, the message of Christ's love for us never changes. With today's world full of violence, hate and crime, the love of Christ and his gracious sacrifice is more relevant now than at any other time. At Campaigners we help young people understand this message through structured teaching and modern teaching methods.

Fun or Faith?

Quite often the question of whether faith can also be fun arises and our answer is always a resounding yes. All of our activities revolve around structured evenings which include Biblical teaching in a friendly, fun and enjoyable environment. More details of the activities can be found in the age specific sections below. Our activities are designed to help our young people learn new skills, make new friends, enjoy the company of a mixed peer group as well as learning about the Christian message in an engaging way.

Your child in our care?

Campaigners are proud to provide training to all of their leaders. This ensures that activities across England and Wales are based around the same curriculum whilst allowing local leaders the ability to tailor activities to individual requirements.
However, one area that we do not allow any tailoring of is that of child care.
  • Under guidance from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) (now replaced by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)) and our Child protection advisors Church and Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) guidelines and regulations we require the following check for all our leaders.
  • Leaders must hold either an Enhanced CRB disclosure or an Enhanced DBS disclosure with a Barred List check undertaken to ensure that they have no criminal convictions which would preclude them from working with children. This is normally undertaken through the local Church, however if there are circumstances that prevent these checks being applied for please contact the Campaigner office.

Campaigners have joined CCPAS to ensure that under God we are employing the latest methods and meeting the latest legislation in our various areas of work.
